Job Description  

 Our International Client operates a matrix organisational structure with a combination of project based and functional based work. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Software Team Leader performs complex software engineering duties using own initiative, following established standards and procedures, working closely with other engineering disciplines. As the Software Engineering Team Leader, you will manage a project team as well as the technical responsibility in this specialist area.

 You will be involved in hands on design work, and “line management’ of Software engineering staff and driving continuous improvements in relation to the Software Engineering function.
 
Your will be required to:
 
  • Directly manage Software Engineering staff, performance manage, train etc
  • Perform architectural designs, system designs etc.
  • Provide analysis and information regarding upcoming resource requirements.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and solutions
  • Maintain and update quality documentation
 For this role you will need:
 
  • A Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Science or similar + 5yrs experience.
  • Experience in the development of real time embedded software systems (including single-chip micro-controllers).
  • Systems architectural design, Coding (C and assembler) and testing.
  • To be familiar with networking (TCP/IP), RAD tools (C++, Delphi)
  • Ability to travel as required
