Some Interesting Trends and Info

The current downturn has brought a host of theories into the limelight, some very good and some we're not so sure about. One I liked was recent research into recession strategies, which pinpointed those that are most successful to companies in both performing through and emerging strongly from a recession. Our economy is still growing. In the last year the population of New Zealand grew by more than 40,000 people (roughly the size of Palmerston North). Most of this growth is local with Birth outnumbering deaths by close to 34,000 in the last year See details here.

We have also recently been reviewing internet advertising trends and it seems, at least from the numbers we see, that construction, customer services and core administration roles have been impacted severely, however some sectors, particularly health and specialist IT are holding up very well.

Amy has a solid background of 20 years in accounts here in New Zealand and in South Africa. She has developed over this time a strong skill set in MYOB and completed a Diploma in Accounting – Technikon South Africa. Amy comes across very professional and extremely caring. She has a passion for people; she is currently running a women life skills programme and counselling for women. She is looking for a position in Accounts as and Accountant/Book Keeping.

Debbie has a strong background in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control and Credit Manager positions. Tertiary qualified, Brian is an intermediate Reliability & Maintainability Engineer, where he worked in the military for the last 2 yrs. Working in Pro Engineer, Brian designed many projects and won many prizes for his designs. Very computer literate, and has the ability to pick up new design packages very quickly.

Electrical Design Engineer – SCADA - Power System Protection

Roger is Tertiary Qualified with a Master of Engineering (Electrical) in 1998 from Auckland University. He is skilled with SCADA, Power Systems and Design Engineering, and is strong in Industrial / Automation. Seeking a Project Management role and or a Design position.

Intermediate Systems Engineering – Engineering

Joe is Tertiary Qualified and an intermediate designer in Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD and MatLab, and has experience in the Aerospace and Military areas as an Intermediate Systems Engineer, with strong Mechanical design, and Modelling.

Senior Java J2EE Software Engineer (contract + Perm)

Yan is a Sun Certified and qualified with his Double Major in Computer Science and Information Systems from Massey University. Andrew has 17 years experience, is MCSA certified and looking for a role to utilise his well-balanced broad range of skills.

Brendon has just returned to NZ after 7yrs away in Canada, and is settling into Auckland with his Canadian partner having bought their own home. Although a strong programmer, he is wanting a Developer’s role that involves client facing position. Had own contracting business in Canada, and is open to contract and or permanent roles. SAP MM Specialist Contractor

Andrew is currently contracting for the next 3weeks, but comes available after that. Andrew would fit any MM Integration, PM and or PP, and would also suit Process Improvement Management and redesign roles, and is known to work with speed, with the ability to sort out problems very quickly, and produce results.
