This position is with a large public sector organisation in Auckland. The Portfolio Management Lead will report to the Group Manager within the Investment Management Office (IMO). The key purpose of the role is to lead the application of the Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity model (P3M3). And to provide strategic advice and support to the IMO Manager and the IMO Committee.

Qualification: 

  • P3M3 qualifications. Full membership of relevant professional body.

 

Skills Required:

  • Min. 8 years’ experience with large scale business change programmes and/or transformational journeys.
  •  Experience and positive track record in deployment and usage of best practice Portfolio, Programme and Project Management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2 / MSP / P3O certifications or equivalent) in a large organisational context.
  • Understanding and experience in identifying and managing critical paths across projects, and programmes.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Project Management
  • Experience in relevant ISO standards and other Risk Management standards and methodologies, and using these in a pragmatic way to assist programmes and projects improve their risk management capability.
