The company:

This is a rare, permanent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker who is looking to step away from case work, and move into a recruitment! My client is charitable trust, who work with children and youth across NZ. This role is based in South Auckland in Mount Wellington, and you would specialise in the recruitment of caregivers for this fantastic organisation!

Duties include:

  • Ensure agreed caregiver recruitment process is conducted in a timely and seamless manner from initial inquiry to final approval to appoint
  • Ensure all elements of the recruitment process including pipeline management, candidate information requirements and vetting forms are appropriately documented 

  • Provide regular narrative updates and data on candidate pipeline progress to relevant stakeholders

  • In partnership with foster care practice leaders, contribute to the identification of candidates’ strengths, learning areas, and risk factors

  • Apply best practice social work interview processes to assess candidate suitability

To be considered for this role:

  • You must hold a degree in social work, plus social work registration
  • Full driver’s licence

  • Minimum five years’ or more experience in social work

  • Excellent assessment skills with a good understanding of parenting risk profiles and social work risk management

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills and a structured and detail orientated approach
