We are delighted to represent my client, who is a leading CA firm, in Auckland Central. This role is a permanent position. In this role, you would be based with a very supportive team in Commercial Bay.
This role is focused on generating revenue by conducting assurance and audit activities in an accurate and timely manner. You will manage, motivate, review, and coach junior staff to ensure the quality of assurance work undertaken is to a high standard. You will also set processes and practices across the audit team to ensure the quality of assurance work undertaken is to a high standard.
This is a full-time position. This role will be Monday- Friday and 40 hours a week.
The responsibilities will include:
- Conducting full statutory audits for companies in compliance with the Companies Act
- Conducting due diligence engagement on behalf of a purchaser or vendor of a business
- Conducting internal audits, assisting management and directors to fulfil their governance obligation
- Co-ordinates staff bookings and assists partners in budgeting time appropriately for assignments, including managing staff chargeability and recoverability
- Manage workflow and client service levels to ensure client expectations are being met
- Respond to, and resolve issues to ensure client service and quality to clients enquires and correspondence in a professional manner
- Supervise, review, and sign off work
- Identifies strong performers across the group, mentors, coaches, and supports them to build upon existing skill set and keep engaged
- The ability to plan, organise and execute the workload including completing timesheets, billing, and collections
As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:
- Significant practical assurance and audit experience in a CA environment (minimum of 6 years)
- You'll hold a degree in business majoring in accounting, and have a full CA membership or equivalent
- High level of technical audit knowledge. Skills and knowledge to plan, manage, coordinate audit jobs, and provide good client service
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to increase software/technology capability
- NZ citizenship or NZ permanent residency
