Senior Modern Workplace & ICT Infrastructure Specialist

Overview

A senior, hands-on technical specialist delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Modern Workplace, hybrid infrastructure, and identity-driven solutions. The role blends deep expertise across Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID with strong infrastructure and network awareness to deliver secure, scalable, and operationally sound outcomes across complex enterprise environments.

Core Capability Areas

Modern Workplace & EUC

·         Microsoft 365 enterprise delivery (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)

·         Intune / Endpoint Manager design and implementation

·         Windows Autopilot deployment and lifecycle management

·         Windows, iOS and Android endpoint management

·         Legacy GPO rationalisation and transition to modern management

·         Application packaging, endpoint configuration and optimisation

Identity & Access

·         Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity delivery

·         Identity integration across cloud and on-prem platforms

·         Secure access patterns and identity-aware solution design

·         Collaboration with security teams on baseline and access controls

Migration & Transformation

·         Cross-tenant M365 migrations

·         On-prem to cloud and hybrid coexistence

·         Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive migrations at scale

·         Identity and directory consolidation

·         Migration planning, runbooks, execution and cutover leadership

Infrastructure & Networking Integration

·         Hybrid infrastructure design and delivery (cloud and on-prem)

·         Strong understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN and connectivity dependencies

·         Network-aware cloud and endpoint solution design

·         End-to-end troubleshooting across identity, network, endpoint and platform layers

·         Effective collaboration with network and security teams

Automation & Operational Excellence

·         Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation

·         Configuration, deployment, compliance and reporting automation

·         Documentation, as-builts, operational runbooks and handover

·         Knowledge transfer and uplift of internal teams
