This Senior Project Manager position is with a large Government Department with a strong focus on the public and their staff. The role will begin early in 2018 and will suit a candidate with strong proven experience. You must be able to establish relationships quickly, be resilient and capable of dealing with uncertainty, be well organized and capable of multi-tasking with a strong desire to deliver outstanding results.

Key Accountabilities for the position will include:

  • Lead, develop and implement specific project plans, business cases, implementation plans, and evaluation and monitoring regimes as required
  • Actively identify and manage organisational and project risks
  • Be proactive in passing on project management skills and knowledge
  • Assist in the development and implementation of short, medium and long term planning for service delivery

The successful candidate will need to have:

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in leading business and change projects, ideally within the public service arena
  • Proven decision-making experience and leadership demonstrated in coordinating and integrating projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Innovative problem solving capability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for multiple customers

We are seeking someone who is collaborative in nature, who works well in an open environment and who has a "can do" attitude. Being able to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders is critical.
