A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join a not-for-profit hospital and retirement home that specialises in a variety of care. This private hospital is established and well-known for the fantastic service they provide. Located in central Auckland, they have a friendly and diverse workplace where they all share the same goal - to provide excellent patient care. 

Responsibilities include:

• Rotating roster, including morning, afternoon and night (graveyard) shifts!
• Provide clinical guidance & support for care givers to ensure quality Resident care
• To promote an understanding of, and commitment to, the company Mission and Values
• Ensure the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi are applied to your nursing practice
• Ensure documentation is accurate and maintains confidentiality 
• Evaluate clients progress toward expected outcomes
• Ensure care is provided in a negotiated partnership with clients and family
• Will at times be required to take on a clinical load and other duties as required
• Ensure you maintain safe handling protocols at all times

YOU! The ideal candidate will demonstrate all of the below:

• Knowledge of the Ministry of Health requirements for Aged Care
• Palliative care qualification or work experience in a palliative care setting
• Gerontology qualification or work experience in the aged care setting
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent communicator
• Customer focused
• Good listening skills
• Good command of the English language
• Ability to work in the aged care setting.
