Our client is on the lookout for an account’s payable whiz for a team based in Wellington central. If you have previous AP experience and have worked in financial or accounts administration, this could be a great opportunity for you!

As you know with the way the accounts department goes this is a busy and varied role. Some of the main duties for this position are:

  • Reconciliation of monthly creditor statements and related transactions
  • Input of creditor invoices
  • Tracking Budget Expenses
  • Proactive management of purchase orders (initiation, authorisation, matching and processing)
  • Ensuring accurate soft copies of invoices are stored digitally 
  • Initiation of and production of payment runs
  • Liaising with companies to chase overdue invoices

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • 5years Accounts Payable experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confidence in using a computer and in particular MS Word, Outlook, advanced in Excel
  • Accounting systems knowledge, would be an advantage (Xero/MYOB/SAP)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Plan and manage workload in order to meet deadlines as required
