Are you an experienced and proactive leader with a passion for healthcare administration and people management? 

We’re looking for a Team Supervisor to join a large, respected healthcare organisation based in Greenlane for a 3–6 month temporary assignment, with potential to extend into a longer-term opportunity.

In this crucial role, you will provide effective day-to-day operational leadership to a busy and dedicated patient administration team. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, flexible and patient-centred booking and reception services, ensuring timely access to care across the organisation.

The role: 

• Provide hands-on daily supervision and operational support to the admin team
• Delegate tasks effectively, considering individual strengths and experience
• Coordinate and monitor workloads, ensuring efficiency and service quality
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and team development activities
• Lead and participate in performance management processes
• Assist the Business Support Manager in delivering consistent standards and processes across the team
• Promote team-building and a culture of continuous improvement

The ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in your work
• Have proven leadership experience in a healthcare or clinical administration setting
• Bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Be confident in decision-making and working under pressure
• Be skilled in coaching, performance management, and leading through change
• Have excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Be tech-savvy with sound computer skills (MS Office and other healthcare systems)
• Understand the structure, processes, and values of healthcare organisations
• Be a natural team builder with a clear professional vision and the ability to motivate others
