Our client, Blueberry Country, is one of the largest blueberry orchards in NZ, based in Ohaupo, they are family owned and have been operating for over 40 years producing a large range of blueberry products. We are recruiting a Warehouse Assistant with forklift license to join their small and mighty team.

In this role you will be assisting in all areas of the fresh and frozen divisions, therefore you MUST be comfortable working in fridge/freezer temperatures. You’ll be physically fit with energy to match, presenting a strong work ethic with proven to be reliable, and punctual. You will have a flexible and calm attitude, great communication skills and a positive team player. 

This is a permanent full time position predominantly Monday – Friday, however in peak season (Dec-April) you will have the ability to scale up hours in demand with the business.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Forklift operating – un/load trucks, stock movement
• Manual handling – moving of product and materials
• Quality checks and inspection of products
• General warehouse and yard maintenance and cleaning
• Assist where ever needed in the business
• Strict adherence to safety guidelines, company policies and procedures

Ideal Candidate:

• Current New Zealand OSH Forklift License (F End ideal)
• Experience as forklift operator or comparable role
• Familiarity with operational warehousing, logistics or manufacturing preferred
• Flexible and adaptable for a growing environment and team
• Good numeracy & literacy skills

Requirements:

• Immediate eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Clean New Zealand Full Drivers Licence (Class)
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
• Clear MOJ criminal background check
• Contactable and favourable references from two most recent supervisors you have reported to
