Our client, a distinguished recipient of the 2022 ARBS Product Excellence Award and Australasia’s longest-serving air conditioning manufacturer, is on the lookout for an experienced CAD System Manager to enhance their IT and Engineering team.

About the Role:

As a CAD System Manager, you will:

  • Operate independently, but serving as the primary point of contact between IT team members and Project Engineers.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of production systems, leveraging your strong background in design engineering.
  • Administer and maintain the internal Autodesk suite, offering recommendations for CAD process optimization.
  • Implement custom code, configure approved recommendations, and develop CAD user training programs.
  • Recommend CAD software/hardware and related IT infrastructure, and conduct thorough testing and verification of new software/hardware, including upgrades.
  • Engage in some coding tasks to enhance system functionality.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Education: A relevant engineering degree.
  • Proficiency: Expertise in Autodesk Inventor Pro and Vault Professional.
  • Experience: Familiarity with connected factory production environments, production systems, and BOM systems.
  • Skills: Strong project management capabilities and proficiency as a super user of CAD tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Java, Visual Basic, HTML, XML, CNC production machine programming, and sheet metal related industries.
  • Training: Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
