Based in Hamilton, our client, a leading welder of speciality steel fabrication companies in New Zealand and Australia, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant / Store Person for a short-term role. Join a customer-focused team with proven expertise in design, implementation, and improvement of manufactured components.

About the Role:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am – 3:30pm
  • Responsibilities:
    • Unload / Load trucks (experience with forklift)
    • Pick packing
    • Moving stock
    • Stock taking
    • Data entry
    • Inwards/outwards receipting

Requirements:

  • Proven forklift experience and comfortable with heavy and awkward loads (OSH forklift license)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP ideal)
  • High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good numeracy & literacy skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience in engineering or construction industries is ideal

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for being reliable, having a high level of initiative, a can-do attitude, and a desire for a career in warehousing.
