Project Manager – Medical Device Technology
Location: Auckland, with some travel across New Zealand

The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex programme of work involving technology-enabled medical devices across a large healthcare environment.
The initial focus will be on establishing the governance, processes and delivery plan needed to identify and assess relevant devices across multiple locations. The Project Manager will bring together information from several sources, engage with clinical and technical stakeholders, and develop a practical framework to guide future upgrade or replacement decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Establish appropriate project governance, reporting and controls.
- Develop and manage the project plan, scope, milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Coordinate the identification and assessment of in-scope medical devices.
- Consolidate and validate information from multiple data sources.
- Develop a structured framework for prioritising devices for upgrade or replacement.
- Assess operational, clinical service and technology considerations.
- Engage with hospital, clinical, technical and service-management stakeholders.
- Support the development of investment recommendations and implementation planning.
- Coordinate subsequent upgrade, remediation or replacement activities as the project progresses.
- Provide clear reporting and advice to project governance and senior stakeholders.
About you
You will be an experienced Project Manager who can work pragmatically, take initiative and bring structure to a complex environment where processes and information are still being developed.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within healthcare or another large, regulated environment.
- Familiarity with hospital operations and clinical service environments.
- Experience working directly with hospital, service-management and technical stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of medical devices or technology-enabled clinical equipment.
- A practical understanding of digital infrastructure and Windows-based technologies.
- Experience developing governance, discovery, assessment and prioritisation processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- The ability to work with incomplete information and develop a clear delivery pathway.
- Confidence operating across multiple teams and locations.
