We're looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale business transformation programme for a central government organisation.

This is an opportunity to lead a high-profile, multi-year initiative focused on business capability improvement, process transformation, and platform consolidation. You'll work closely with senior executives, provide strategic programme leadership, and be responsible for driving successful delivery across a diverse stakeholder environment.

The Opportunity

As the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading the programme from initiation through delivery, ensuring strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and execution. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to contribute to programme artefacts, reporting, governance, and delivery, rather than simply providing oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex business transformation programme.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders and governance groups.
• Provide strategic programme leadership while managing delivery risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
• Assess existing programme capability and identify additional resources required within funding constraints.
• Establish and maintain programme governance, reporting, and delivery frameworks.
• Work collaboratively across multiple business groups and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Support the development of programme documentation, planning, reporting, and governance artefacts where required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

While the programme includes technology-related initiatives, this is not a technical Programme Manager role. Your strength will be in programme leadership, business transformation, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
