A well-established and busy medical practice on Auckland’s North Shore, is seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a part-time permanent position.
About the RoleAs the first point of contact for the practice, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive a welcoming and positive experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Welcoming and assisting patients and visitors
- Managing appointments and patient arrivals using the PMS system
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Processing repeat prescription requests
- Updating patient records and registrations
- Handling payments, receipting, and daily banking reconciliation
- Managing emails, scanning, filing, and incoming documentation
- Supporting GPs, nurses, and the wider clinical team
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy standards
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous reception or administration experience, ideally within healthcare
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new software
- A professional, empathetic, and positive approach
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Experience using Indici PMS or similar medical software
- Supportive and collaborative team environment
