Senior Project Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to support a high-profile, fast-paced central government programme.
This role sits within a complex environment involving commercial, policy, and technical workstreams, supporting critical decision-making and delivery outcomes under tight timeframes.
Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will provide end-to-end coordination support across governance, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, helping ensure the smooth delivery of programme activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end coordination support to the Programme Manager
- Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and governance forums
- Prepare project documentation, reports, briefings, and status updates
- Support planning, scheduling, and tracking of deliverables
- Assist with project financial administration and reporting
- Maintain project records and documentation within organisational systems
- Track actions, risks, issues, and dependencies across the programme
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the project environment
- Support preparation of ministerial briefings and correspondence
- Work closely with administrative and delivery support teams
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You bring strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes.
You will also bring:
- At least 5 years’ experience in Project Coordination roles
- Experience supporting project delivery within central government
- Strong understanding of government governance and delivery environments
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple stakeholders
- A delivery-focused, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach
Highly Desirable Experience
- Project financial management and reporting
- Tracking and reporting across complex programmes
- Experience supporting governance and assurance processes
- Preparation of ministerial briefings and correspondence
- Exposure to ministerial or senior executive stakeholder environments
