Experienced Ruby on Rails Web Developer opportunity within growing NZ company!!

You will come armed with:

• 5+ years of experience,
• A broad understanding of various coding methodologies/practices and a good background in web-centred development languages/technologies;
  • including HTML (including HTML5),
  • CSS (v2 and 3),
  • JavaScript,
  • web languages and frameworks based on the MVC pattern and integration based on the REST architectural style are a must.

As a Ruby and Rails developer you will have had experience in developing web-based applications in the above technologies.

• Perhaps you will have worked with Sinatra.
• You will have worked with Ruby 1.9.x and Rails 3.x.
• You will also have built applications using test-driven and behaviour-driven techniques and be familiar with testing libraries such as RSpec, Cucumber, Capybara, etc.
• You will also be familiar with version control systems like GitHub and SVN.
• A standout will be your familiarity with OAUTH/OAUTH2/XAUTH protocols,
• and experience with noSQL databases.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be a part of a team in a more Senior capacity and potentially mentor more junior members of the team. If you can showcase your abilities via GitHub this will aid in your application.
