This is a great opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional who is truly committed to making a difference and giving back to the community.  This kaupapa Maori Service provides support services for people of all ethnicities become more independent and confident in their own abilities.

Knowledge of te reo and tikanga Māori would be an advantage. You will need to have a tertiary qualification and a solid background in all areas of the Human Resources field. A strategic outlook and being future – oriented is imperative for the success of the role along with being self-driven, intrenched in culture change and drive strong leadership and management capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership
  • Driving people and culture change
  • Leadership and management of all aspects of people, performance and culture management
  • Staff learning and development programmes
  • Financial Reporting
  • Participation in tikanga practice and protocols and te reo Māori use
  • Health and Safety compliance

This role is a key player in the organisation and as such you will be part of the Senior Management Team. You will possess many key competencies including having a strong purpose and direction, being of role model within the organisation, being committed to Tikanga Māori, be a highly effective communicator and able to deliver results.
