Do you possess excellent customer service skills and are a strong administrator who thrives in a busy, structured environment and enjoys supporting others? We have the perfect temporary role for you! This is a 3 month temporary role with the potential to go permanent for the right person.
This role is full time, Monday-Friday in office, at our client's West Auckland premises.
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be based in Avondale where you will be working for our client who is a family owned business in property maintence and home services.
Their small office team is at the heart of their operations, supporting technicians across all their services. This is a multi-faceted role and you will need to be comfortable learning most office functions and stepping in to support colleagues when others are away. Reliability is essential — every team member is key to the success of their operation!
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing inbound and outbound phone and email communications with customers and scheduling appointments
- Managing a busy shared inbox, where you’ll deal with online booking requests,
insurer queries, and customer updates. - Accurately quoting and booking services.
- Maintaining and updating job records.
- Liaising with insurance companies and customers regarding jobs.
- Processing jobs - and ensuring all necessary follow-ups and documentation are handled with care and accuracy.
- Interpreting technician notes and translating them into clear, accurate insurance
updates. - Supporting the wider team to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met
What You Bring:
- Experience in office administration and customer service (3 years+) - insurance,
trades, or service-based industries an advantage. - Advanced MS office and Tech-savvy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Calm, empathetic, and customer-focused
- A proactive problem solver with strong initiative
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Resilient, flexible, and comfortable supporting others to meet deadlines
- Permanent residency or NZ Citizenship.
