We are proud to be representing our client who is a leading NZ business. They are looking for a HR Advisor to help with the workload for around 6 weeks with the potential to extend. 

You will be providing support to employees on a broad range of People processes, in particular, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and general administration. You will need to have experience in a Sole Lead HR position already and be ready to start ASAP.  

This will be a full-time permanent role Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day with flexible start times. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination and administration of core People processes such as payroll, recruitment, onboarding and general administration
  • Update, format and finalise advertisements and position descriptions for business leaders
  • Organize recruitment advertising and monitoring of job applications
  • Screening and shortlisting of candidates, setting up interviews and reference checking as required
  • Prepare all employment documentation including employment agreements, offer letters and variations for new and existing employees
  • Organise and coordinate onboarding and offboarding for employees
  • Coordinate end-of-year performance and remuneration review process
  • Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and efficient manner in conjunction with our outsources payroll provider ensuring relevant legislation is adhered to
  • Provide first level employment advice to People leaders regarding leave entitlements and payroll queries
  • Ongoing maintenance of employee files
  • Keep up to date with legislation, ensuring the safety of people is paramount.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree in HR and have worked in a HR role previously for a year
  • Technically savvy
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent attention to detail /great literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills - solutions-focused
  • Good time management skills.
