The company and opportunity:
This is a permanent opportunity for the best in Medical Reception and Administration! My Client is a Medical Centre based in Mount Eden. If you have a strong Medical Administrator/Reception background, very strong with IT systems, and have been looking for a permanent position this is the role for you!
This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This person will be an integral part of the administration team within the organisation, so you need to have a can-do attitude, great time management skills, ability to prioritise and self-manage workload.
As Reception/Administrator, some of your key areas of responsibility will include:
- In all contact with patients, visitors, and other staff
- Patient information, including a patient’s presence in the hospital, as well as their condition, treatment, and medical history, is kept confidential at all times
- Accurate patient information is entered into the computer system in a timely manner
- Accurate patient appointments are made according to guidelines
- Enquiries from patients, visitors and others are dealt with courteously and as quickly as possible
- Typing for clinical manuals and documents is completed accurately and to a high standard
- Appropriate administration procedure/policy manuals are kept updated
- The telephone is answered promptly and politely
- All receipt entries are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and receipts are printed as requested
- Ensure efficient functioning of the administration area
To be successful in this role:
- Previous Reception/administration experience is a must, as are solid MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, and reliable
- Effective communication written and verbal
- Those only with NZ Citizenship/permanent residency/ valid work visa will be considered for this role
