This is a rare permanent opportunity to be in a leadership role for a global aviation fleet solutions and support specialists company.
As part of this company, you’ll join a global network of six companies working on everything that involves solving the clients most difficult aviation fleet, parts and maintenance problems. They also work across many countries, geographies, aircraft platforms and operate within a global network of like-minded aviation colleagues through their global corporate group.
This role will be based in Moorhouse in Christchurch. If you have an Engineering background and some Management experience and would like to step up this is the role for you!
The role, in a nutshell:
- Lead a team of 12 through all aspects of daily business functions.
- Have ownership over company performance, leadership, internal operations, and long-term strategic direction.
- Overseeing all business functions, you will have directive input on sales, procurement, shipping, and HR decisions. You will also be responsible for executing upon strategic business investments.
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of multiple client projects and work directly with clients on project initiation, trajectory, and closure.
- Acquiring and retaining clients as well as improving relations with existing clients through project performance-based metrics.
To be successful in the role:
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in engineering, STEM, or Management.
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively to create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English – both verbal and written – across cultures and countries.
- Strong time-management skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability.
- Can work methodically under pressure and with multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel to serve international clients and suppliers, collaborate with partner companies worldwide, and attend conferences and airshows.
You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role and have a valid passport to travel overseas for training.
