The organisation and opportunity:

Our client is a not-for-profit that provides health and social services and are based in South Auckland. They're growing fast and are becoming a very recognisable name in the community. 

This is a senior role so you will be expected to hit the ground running. You will need to be a Chartered Accountant or CPA qualified. You will also lead, support and develop a team of Finance Administrators.

This is a full-time position. This role will be Monday- Friday and 40 hours a week. 

As the Financial Accountant, some of your key areas of responsibility will include:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Provide month-end and year-end financial and management reports
• Prepare and review management reports
• Regularly provide budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis
• Forecast costs and revenues
• Organise annual audits to align with compliance
• Prepare annual budgets
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes
• To partner with budget holders, providing analysis, support, and monitoring across the organisation
• Creating a positive and engaging work environment and always demonstrating professional conduct

As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:

• Chartered Accountant or CPA qualified
• Experience in financial accounting
• Excellent communication skills 
• Excellent computer skills 
• Strong attention to detail 
• The ability to multitask and prioritize, with excellent time management skills
