Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Lead (Manual Testing)
Location: Auckland City
Job Type: 6 Month Independent Contract initially
Job Description: We are looking for a QA Lead who will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team, overseeing manual testing processes, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
- Conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
- Monitor and report on test execution and defect status, ensuring transparency and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Perform root cause analysis on identified issues and work with development teams to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in release planning and provide accurate estimations for testing efforts.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in manual testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
