Our client is a central government agency and is looking for a Senior Advisor EPMO to help support their Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. The candidate needs to be a strong generalist who is able to help with reviewing frameworks and tools and generally support the business at an Advisor or Senior Advisor level. The Senior Advisor EPMO plays a key role in the EPMO by working with the Assurance, Portfolio, and Change Leads to enable the successful delivery of investment programme and projects across the Ministry.

You Will:

• Have experience working in a project or portfolio delivery environment
• Hold a formal Portfolio, Programme & Project (P3) qualification or have equivalent experience
• Have experience providing specialist advice and support to project and programme governance groups and project sponsors with regard to effective governance and management of projects
• Be comfortable with reviewing tools and facilitating workshops for programme delivery
• Sound analytical skills – clarity of thinking, defines problems well, gathers all necessary information and produces methodologically sound advice
• Able to provide written reports and presentations to a high standard
• Customer focus skills and experience working with senior managers
• An understanding of continuous improvement and project management practice
• Understanding of public sector systems and processes, including accountability requirements and the use of performance information to inform decision-making

Looking for an hourly rate contractor who can start as soon as possible until the end of January 2023 initially. Ideally full-time hours but will also consider part-time for the right skill set. Wellington based with flexible working options.
