Principal Policy Advisor

Location: Wellington CBD
Salary: $130 to 160 k per annum
Duration: 5-month fixed term contract

About the role:

Our client is looking for a seasoned Principal Policy Advisor to work as part of a team providing strategic leadership and expert advice in the financial and capital markets space. Looking for candidates with strong regulatory and select committee experience.  

Skills and experience required:

• Mid to senior principal policy advisor with advanced policy skills
• Strong regulatory policy experience
• Strong experience working with select committees
• Work in related regulatory, economic, or commercial industries and environments would be beneficial
• Any exposure to financial or capital markets, consumer, competition or business-related policy would also be beneficial
• Machinery of government
• Ability to provide authoritative policy advice and help drive the strategic policy agenda for the team
• Experience leading projects and programmes on complex and sensitive issues
• Must be able to effectively influence through engagement and communication with senior stakeholders

This role is ideally looking for a mid-senior level principal advisor but might also consider experienced senior advisors with the right expeience and skill set looking to take the next step in their career!
