The Purpose:

Alpha is working with my client to find a dedicated and highly experienced SAS developer to join the DevOps team down here in Wellington. You will be skilled in SAS V9.x onwards, SAS EG, Relational DB, Linux (RH) to work in a DevOps team. Knowledge of, or experience with Hadoop would be an advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret design documents, recognise technical (and environmental) constraints, and determine technical requirements
• be accountable as a technical leader for complex analysis, design, programming, standards, documentation, and other technical matters
• Plan and manage your workload, to ensure that the agreed outputs are delivered within agreed timeframes, service level agreements, budgets, and quality levels
• Contribute to the production of programming specifications, programming, testing, implementation, and support
• Develop new applications through project tasks
• Support existing applications through BAU activities or strategic enhancements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING…..

Skills and Experience:

• At least 5-7 years' experience developing, creating unit tests, debugging and deploying systems using the following technologies:

   - SAS V0.x onwards, SAS EG, Relational DB, Linux (RH)
