Our Client, is an Iconic International Auckland based Engineering Manufacturing Company, designs products that are manufactured in China. They are seeking a Product Design Engineer to team up with their already amazing existing Design Engineer, to assist in creative designing of their products, making prototypes together with the workshop team. Reporting to the Product and Engineering Manager, you will utilise your Engineering knowledge with your expertise in this Product Design Engineering role. It will require you to thoroughly test the parts and complete the product prototypes, including safety and noise control.

For this role you will be required to:

•  Design and source quality product parts
•  Carry out prototype and product testing.
•  Assist in the development of specifications such as drawings etc
•  Investigate the processes and sorting any quality issues
• Be part of the R & D team communicating with people at all levels.

For this role you will need:

•  To have come from approx 8yrs of Engineering background preferred.
  
•  To have used machinery, worked on BOM solidworks systems designs. 
•  Have excellent verbal and written Communication Skills.
•  The ability to liaise with all divisions within the company.
•  Experience in product costings, specifications, and set up of detailing etc.
