Our client is looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join their team on a 1 Year Fixed Term basis. This is a fantastic role, where you will work in a fast paced, and varied environment. You will be involved in producing and implementing policy that will benefit New Zealanders. This is a chance for a Auckland policy professional to get experience in a central government agency. 

You'll be able to demonstrate:

• Experience leading policy projects, policy development and implementation 
• Advancing Māori perspectives through problem solving or policy development
• Excellent analytical and presentational skills
• Leading exciting priority work for environmental policy issues
• Exceptional writing skills with experience of briefing Ministers
• Experience (and a high degree of comfort) dealing with ambiguity
• Proven ability to communicate with influence, and experience briefing elected representatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with other key agencies and providers including local government
• A tertiary qualification in a discipline relevant to policy, social science or economics
