Our social sector client is seeking a passionate Policy Advisor to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity where you will play a key role in developing and implementing policies that benefit New Zealanders.

They are looking for a motivated individual with strong writing skills, analytical thinking abilities, and a commitment to making a positive impact. For this role you must have 1+ Years experience in policy, in a NZ government agency.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Must have experience in a Policy Advisor role, ideally in NZ government
• Experience in applying these to the analysis of policy issues and formulating high-quality policy advice
• Knowledge of policy frameworks/principles/tools
• Conduct research analysis of policy issues
• Excellent analytical and presentational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and application of these in public policy
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with other key agencies and providers including local government
• A tertiary qualification in a discipline relevant to policy, social science or economics.
