Our International Auckland based Engineering Manufacturing Company designs products that are manufactured in China. They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for their China manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality checks during the manufacturing process, and to monitor the Inwards Goods inspection and frequency in accordance with the Company’s QA process requirements, to the highest standards of the products.
They are looking for a hands-on QA Manager with either an Engineering qualification, or from a Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner or Tool making background, to initially be based in China for the 2yrs permanent contract. Ideally you would have been a tool maker or similar in you previous positions. This is a practical position, requiring someone with hands on machining experience, able to assemble a machine is essential.
Reporting to the Product, Engineering and Manufacturing Manager in NZ, you will identify causes and suggest remedial action when monitoring rework on product that does not meet QA standards. Your positive attitude and outstanding communication skills will stand you in good stead with the ability to work at such a high standard within this environment.

You will be trained in NZ in the first instance, and spend three months at a time in China, with holidays repatriating you back to NZ on a regular basis.
