Hamilton | Field-led leadership role
Jack House Transit is a long-established New Zealand company specialising in house removal, relocation, repiling, and demolition, with its main operations based in Hamilton (Waikato). They are growing, and we are looking for an experienced Operations & Delivery Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day delivery once work is sold.
This is a senior operational leadership position for someone who understands planning, sequencing, machinery, people, and margin and is confident making hard calls.
As the operational leader — you will own the plan, the execution, and the outcome.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning, sequencing, site execution, machinery coordination, and leading delivery through the Foreman.
Your focus is simple:
- Safe delivery
- High productivity
- Protected margin
You will be visible in the field when it matters, while also driving planning, scheduling, and operational discipline behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own scheduling, sequencing, and daily delivery plans
- Approve or decline work from a delivery and risk perspective
- Lead field execution via the Foreman
- Drive site productivity and execution quality
- Oversee plant, machinery, and repairs & maintenance
- Lead operational health & safety
About You
You will have strong people and relationship skills which leads to credibility with crew, supervisors, and clients.
You are an experienced operational leader who:
- Comes from construction, heavy industry, or logistics
- Has led crews and managed complex delivery
- Is confident making tough calls to protect safety and margin
- Has strong planning and coordination skills
- Commands respect in the field
Ideally experience in house removals, heavy haulage, or complex logistics.
