We’re recruiting for a newly created Fleet Manager role that will support multiple small depots across the Waikato region. This is a hands on leadership opportunity overseeing fleet operations and contractor performance, with a strong focus on service delivery and building a positive, performance-driven team culture.
About the Role
As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for achieving service delivery targets, financial performance and growth objectives. You’ll ensure company disciplines, systems and procedures are consistently followed while fostering a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage contractors and fleet performance against agreed standards and KPIs
- Ensure contractor compliance with company expectations and contractor agreements
- Recruit and manage contractors and staff as required
- Actively promote a safe, healthy, and positive working environment
About You
You thrive on establishing strong partnerships with contractors, customers and colleagues with the ability to communicate, set direction and keep accountability. With strong commercial acumen and a genuine commitment to premium customer service, you enjoy motivating teams and managing performance.
Additionally, you will have:
- A track record of meeting and exceeding business targets and budgets
- Excellent communication skills with customers, staff, contractors and suppliers
- Strong operational knowledge of network and distribution environments
- A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to implement improvement strategies
