Working closely with the Nurse Manager, you will provide supervision and mentoring to your team of Community Nurses and Nurse Coordinators. Assisting with performance management and clinical assessments to ensure a high level of holistic care is undertaken.

You will also seamlessly slot into the Community Nurses role when requested, and when the need arises.

Essential:

• NZ Registered with current APC
• Current clean NZ driver licence
• Minimum 5 years post graduate experience

Skills and Experience:

• Expert skills in clinical nursing practice with advanced wound care skills
• Proven leadership/management experience;
• Ability to build successful relationships with patients, staff and other health professionals;
• Familiar with computerised business & Client Management Systems
• Thorough understanding and commitment to the application of the Treaty of Waitangi best practice in the workplace;
• High level of communication skills both written and verbal;
• Demonstrated project management, business and service planning skills
• Superb problem solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with primary and secondary providers to deliver efficient quality care
• Provide efficient coordination of Community nursing service
• Effectively assess wound status to determine implementation of care
• Efficiently manage stock & supplies
• Collaborate with Education Manager to deliver Orientation & Training Programmes
• Participate in Annual Planning process
• Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement activities
• Participate and comply with Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992 & associated Company Policies
