Working closely with the Nurse Manager, you will provide supervision and mentoring to your team of Community Nurses and Nurse Coordinators. Assisting with performance management and clinical assessments to ensure a high level of holistic care is undertaken.
You will also seamlessly slot into the Community Nurses role when requested, and when the need arises.
Essential:
- NZ Registered with current APC
- Current clean NZ driver licence
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience
Skills and Experience:
- Expert skills in clinical nursing practice with advanced wound care skills
- Proven leadership/management experience;
- Ability to build successful relationships with patients, staff and other health professionals;
- Familiar with computerised business & Client Management Systems
- Thorough understanding and commitment to the application of the Treaty of Waitangi best practice in the workplace;
- High level of communication skills both written and verbal;
- Demonstrated project management, business and service planning skills
- Superb problem solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with primary and secondary providers to deliver efficient quality care
- Provide efficient coordination of Community nursing service
- Effectively assess wound status to determine implementation of care
- Efficiently manage stock & supplies
- Collaborate with Education Manager to deliver Orientation & Training Programmes
- Participate in Annual Planning process
- Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement activities
- Participate and comply with Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992 & associated Company Policies
