Senior Data Analyst

 

6 months contract - ASAP starting.

 

Responsibilities of the role: 

·                Develop sufficient knowledge of TakeCare source system, the data warehouse, Collection and Costing data and business rules to support data analysis and production of the data mapping and specification documents. 

·                Support the data warehouse development team on queries related to business rules and TrakCare data. 

·                Use Jira and confluence for task tracking and general documentation. 

·                Resolve issues/queries raised by the data warehouse technical team. 

·                Raise risks/issues as soon as there is a material impact on the project. 

·                Assist the Testing Team with writing test cases and reconciliation cases/scripts. 

·                Liaise with the project team, internal business users and the Ministry of Health as part of data analysis/data mapping. 

 

Candidate Experience:

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a technical business intelligence analyst on large/complex data warehouse projects.
• Should have adequate experience and clear understanding of source systems, data warehouse and data mart data analysis.
• Ability to QA (Quality Assurance) deliverables and provide support to the Technical Business Intelligence Analysts
• Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL data analysis with high-level of SQL skills and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Should have exposure to large data sets.
• Experience in data analysis, including data profiling.
• Experience working in agile and traditional development environments.
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver to committed timescales.
• Ability to communicate well to both technical and non-technical staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, able to handle challenging situations and act appropriately.
• Should be a self-starter; takes responsibility and ownership and is self-driven.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as ability to work within a team.
