Hutt Valley District Health Board and Capital and Coast District Health Board are currently looking for candidates with excellent leadership and communication skills to help support and coordinate a team of door screeners at Wellington Hospital in Newtown. 

The role offers 40 hours per week across 7 days and hours will be between 6.30am and 8.30pm with rosters given 2-4 weeks in advance.

So, a bit about the role and what your day will generally look like:

• Provide day to day support for the screeners
• Manage door screening rosters
• Daily timesheets are accurate and sent to payroll
• Keep screeners up-to-date with changes to process and procedures
• Orientate new screeners
• Welcome all visitors to the DHB in a friendly and professional manner
• Ensure all persons entering the buildings are screened and contact traced and staff show ID’s.
• Escalate any emerging situations to Security or your immediate manager
• Adhere to the visitor’s policy and be adaptable around change during escalating or reducing COVID levels
