We are seeking compassionate, reliable and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our growing pool of workers supporting clients across mental health facilities, disability services and community support settings in Central, West & North Shore, Auckland.

The Role:

You will provide person centred support to clients with varying needs, promoting their safety, dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one support to clients in mental health and disability settings.
• Assisting clients with daily living activities and personal care, where required.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing, independence and participation in activities.
• Maintaining a safe, respectful and supportive environment.
• Driving facility vehicles and transporting clients as required.
• Completing general duties and occasional administrative tasks.
• Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support teams.
• Following individual care plans, workplace procedures and health and safety guidelines.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, specialising in mental health, disability or a related field.
• Experience in mental health, disability support or a similar healthcare environment.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
• A current, clean driver's licence and confidence driving a facility vehicle, where required.
• Experience working with Māori and Pasifika communities and a commitment to culturally safe practice.
• A caring, patient, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good judgement, reliability and a professional attitude.
• Valid NZ working rights
