Our client is a well-established and respected specialist practice, based in Epsom. We're looking for a Medical Secretary/Administrator to work part-time 18-20 hours per week.
The practice hours allow some flexibility and working from home, with a number of hours based at the medical practice.
Please note only candidates with relevant medical secreterial experience will be considered for this role.
This unique practice provides an interesting and exciting role in cutting edge healthcare. This is a front-line role where professionalism, attention to detail and a warm, respectful manner are essential in maintaining the high standards expected of a leading private medical practice.
Hours are accross Monday to Friday. All work from home and flexible, aside from Friday which is in clinic in Epsom.
Monday 4 hours
Tuesday 3 hours
Wednesday 4 hours
Thursday 4 hours
Friday 5 hours 12-5pm
What the day-to-day looks like in this role:
- Manage front-desk operations including greeting patients and supporting them to have a positive experience throughout their care.
- Coordinate outpatient clinics and operating lists to ensure all appointments, approvals, and patient communications are handled efficiently.
- Processing payments and supporting patients with the claiming process with their insurer.
- Liaising with and arranging bookings with associated staff and operating facilities.
- Processing referrals and collating patient information.
- Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and incoming referrals in a timely and professional manner.
What we require from you:
- Previous administration experience within a private healthcare setting is a must. Those without relevant healthcare/medical experience will not be considered.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a warm and friendly manner.
- Reliability is critical to ensure optimal patient care.
- Excellent computer skills and confidence using practice software.
- Organisation skills and ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Only those with NZ Citizenship or permanent residency will be considered for this role as this a permanent role.
