We are looking for an experienced and compassionate General Practioner or Nurse Practitioner to join our client's growing team. This opportunity will allow you to work virtually from anywhere in NZ. 

This is a permanent opportunity, and the client is flexible about what your week looks like in terms of number of sessions etc. Either full time or part time hours, you choose to suit your lifestyle. 

About the role

Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and clinical consultations
• Diagnosing and managing a range of acute and chronic health conditions
• Developing and reviewing individualised treatment and care plans
• Prescribing and managing medications within your scope of practice
• Providing health education, preventative care and clinical advice
• Ordering and interpreting appropriate investigations
• Referring patients to other healthcare professionals and services when required
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team
• Providing safe, professional and culturally responsive care

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with current registration and a practising certificate
• Has broad general practice and acute care experience who can confidently manage a variety of primary care presentations independently
• Has relevant clinical experience and strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Is confident working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care
• Is comfortable using digital health and clinical systems
