About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to join a growing technical sales team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse customer base across multiple industries, providing technical solutions and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales within an assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Prepare and execute customer account and sales development plans.
  • Provide technical advice and recommend appropriate solutions for customer applications.
  • Support customers through the specification, selection, and implementation process.
  • Respond to and resolve customer enquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, emerging technologies, and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting within company systems.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively.

About You

You will be a proactive and customer-focused professional with a strong technical background and proven success in business-to-business sales.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification in a mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, industrial, or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, account management, or business development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel within your assigned territory.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience selling engineered products, industrial equipment, or technical solutions.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, production, processing, or industrial environments.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and business systems.
  • Additional qualifications in sales, marketing, or business management.
