Our client is a respected Kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation. They're growing fast and are looking for a Registered Nurse to join their community-focused clinic based in Panmure.
The hours for this position will include rostered shifts between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, full time.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being part of a tight knit team and working with the Panmure community.
Ngā Mahi – Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care to patients across a range of health needs.
- Undertake patient assessments, clinical observations, care planning, treatment, and follow-up.
- Support the management of acute and chronic health conditions within a primary care setting.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, treatments, and other clinical interventions within your scope of practice.
- Provide health education, preventative care, and wellness advice to patients and whānau.
- Support screening, immunisation, and health promotion programmes.
- Assist with wound care, procedures, and other clinical services as required.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation and patient records.
- Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and referrals.
- Develop strong, respectful relationships with patients, whānau, and community providers.
- Promote culturally safe and responsive healthcare practices.
About you
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate and appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of culturally responsive practice and experience working with people from diverse communities.
- Strong understanding of Te Ao Māori and the ability to work within tikanga Māori frameworks.
- Due to this being a permanent role, permanent residency or NZ citizenship is a requirement.
