An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join a well-established global organisation. This role is ideal for someone with strong logistics coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. This role is 12 months temporary fixed term maternity cover. 

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth coordination of distribution, transport, inventory, and returns across New Zealand.

About the Role

Reporting to the Distribution & Returns Manager, you will be responsible for supporting daily distribution operations, managing transport exceptions, coordinating deliveries, maintaining system data, and assisting with inventory and returns management. You'll work closely with third-party logistics providers, transport partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily distribution activities and manage order release cut-off times.
  • Monitor transport performance and resolve delivery exceptions, including delayed, damaged, split, or misdirected consignments.
  • Liaise with transport providers and warehouses to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate B2B, B2C, and retail deliveries, including special delivery requirements.
  • Process and validate product returns, damaged goods, and replacement requests.
  • Assist with inventory management and warehouse administration.
  • Maintain delivery schedules, customer master data, and transport information within company systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports and support performance reviews with logistics providers.
  • Coordinate delivery booking requests and maintain customer booking requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, logistics providers, and key customers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, logistics coordination, customer service, or sales administration.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers and transport carriers.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience working with ERP or integrated business systems (transport management systems highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to managing exceptions.
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
