The opportunity:

Our client is a leading litigation and dispute resolution law firm based in Auckland Central with a strong reputation across the country. They are looking for a bright and motivated law graduate to join their busy litigation team as a Junior Litigation Solicitor.

This is a permanent full time role Monday to Friday based in the office. There are many perks about the role including a free gym to use on site! 

You'll work across a variety of civil claims, with a particular focus on building defect cases and unit title disputes. 

The role includes preparing discovery, managing electronic trial bundles, conducting legal research, drafting briefs of evidence, and providing support at hearings and mediations. You'll get real hands-on-experience right from the very start. 

Minimum skills and experience required:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Have strong academics
• Excellent written and analytical skills
• Have the motivation to deliver high-quality legal services to clients
• Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
• A strong work ethic – balancing work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapid robust relationships with clients
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
