Position Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst

Location: Auckland City

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in ICT infrastructure, networking, switches, cloud services, and enterprise-level systems, combined with a proven ability to engage effectively with key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
• Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of existing ICT infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency, and recommending scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives across a range of infrastructure components (networking, servers, storage, cloud services, etc.).
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of both technical details and business needs.
• Provide expert advice on the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into the existing infrastructure, including cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, or other platforms), virtualisation, and automation tools.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, and migration of legacy systems to modern infrastructure solutions (cloud migrations, data centre transformations).
• Develop comprehensive documentation for technical systems, processes, and solutions, including technical specifications, system designs, and business impact analysis.
• Support project management activities, including risk management, project timelines, resource allocation, and ensuring deliverables meet business requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in large-scale ICT infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical expertise in networking, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancing, and enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or other platforms), virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), security frameworks (SSL, TLS), and network monitoring tools.
• Expertise in server and storage architecture, including SAN/NAS, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise IT systems, including ERP systems, databases, and business applications, and the ability to integrate these with network infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and apply technical knowledge to solve business challenges.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
