Network Specialist

Location: Auckland
Type: Contract

We are looking for an experienced Network Specialist to deliver key upgrades and enhancements across a large, complex enterprise environment. This role involves supporting system refreshes, managing a wide range of network endpoints, and driving improvements in resilience, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver network upgrade and refresh projects across multiple business sites.
• Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud network environments.
• Implement endpoint upgrades including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Ensure security, performance optimisation, and high availability of network services.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on integration.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering network projects and large endpoint rollouts.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
• Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or hybrid) and network security expertise.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and NAC solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable

• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications.
• ITIL or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
