We are currently looking for Construction Workers throughout New Zealand. As a construction worker you would perform tasks in residential, commercial and industrial construction either as an individual or as part of a team.
Ideally a good candidate would:
- Be experienced in using hand and power tools
- Be experienced in a construction environment, either residential, commercial or industrial
- Be physically fit and capable of heavy duties
- And preferably legally entitled to drive in New Zealand with reliable transport.
Tasks you undertake will include but not be limited to:
- Use of hand tools and power tools
- Cleaning the construction site, removing debris, unused materials and hazardous materials
- Assisting lead carpenters, installation technicians and all other skilled tradesmen with their work whenever necessary
- Assisting skilled Welders/Fabricators in maintaining and operating equipment/machinery safely and efficiently
- Assisting painting trades workers in applying paint and other relevant tasks in buildings and structures
- Assisting with scaffold erection and dismantling
- Finishing building components made from wood, concrete, steels and/or aluminium
- Stacking and palletizing output
- Moving equipment and materials
- Measure, cut and build elements for residential, commercial and industrial projects
- Maintenance of existing structures and fittings
- Following health and safety regulations
If you are successful:
- You will be offered permanent full-time employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week paid
- You will be offered a wage rate of $28 to $33 per hour depending on your level of experience
- You will be offered work in one of the following locations regions of New Zealand, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Manawatu-Wanganui, Marlborough, Taranaki, Northland, Tasman, Nelson and West Coast
- You will be offered training as appropriate to assist you to improve your skills
- You will be required to follow all advised health and safety regulations.
Potential relocation to other regions and/or work across multiple regions may be required depending on the needs of our clients.
