The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Adviser OR Senior Advisor to support a busy ministerial and executive servicing team with a public sector organisation. The Adviser will need strong experience in leading and writing responses to Official Information Act (OIA) requests, Ministerial correspondence and WPQs. The role will across the functions in the team providing support as required, with a primary focus on managing OIA requests and Ministerial correspondence and PQs. This will be an hourly rate contract starting as soon as possible through until the end of June 2026.

About You

You will be proficient in OIAs, PQ’s, Ministerial correspondence and have broader Ministerial Services experience.

You will have:  

 

• Experience leading and writing responses to OIAs, Ministerial correspondence and WPQs
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
• Sound knowledge of Parliamentary processes and the machinery of government
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
• Can-do attitude, high level of initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to work across the team’s functions as required
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timeframes
• Experience with Select Committee processes and reporting (preferable)
