We’re looking for experienced Senior and Principal-level advisers with backgrounds across investment, strategic finance, data and analytics, business case assessment, policy and infrastructure for a number of contract opportunities in Wellington.

These roles sit within a strategic investment function providing advice on investment, funding, financing, performance, major programmes and infrastructure priorities, with work spanning Budget, investment planning and asset management.

A range of skill sets are of interest

We’re keen to hear from people with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Strategic Finance – financial modelling, fiscal analysis, Budget preparation, revenue and expenditure settings
• Data & Analytics – quantitative analysis, performance frameworks and turning complex data into actionable insights
• Business Case & Investment Analysis – assessing investment proposals, reviewing business cases and applying economic, fiscal and investment disciplines
• Policy & Advisory – policy development, planning, implementation, coordination and strategic advice
• Infrastructure & Asset Management – investment planning, asset management and improving investment management practices
• Investment & Funding – experience advising on investment decisions, funding models, financial performance and major programmes

What we're looking for

You’ll bring strong experience working with complex financial, fiscal, statistical or performance information, combined with the ability to translate analysis, policy or strategy into practical advice and decisions.

You’ll also ideally have:

• Senior-level public sector, investment, policy or advisory experience
• An understanding of Government Budget processes and machinery of government
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and political judgement
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-tempo environment

You don't need to tick every box. The team is open to candidates with transferable skills who can quickly build capability in the areas required.
