CONSTRUCTION LABOURER AND MANUFACTURING WORKER

We are currently looking for Construction Labourers and Manufacturing Workers to work in locations across New Zealand including Auckland, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Canterbury, Wellington, Taranaki. As a construction labourer and manufacturing worker you may perform tasks in residential, commercial and industrial construction, or in manufacturing environments using tools and machines either as an individual or as part of a team. Tasks may include but not limited to erecting & repairing structures and facilities on building and construction sites and in factories producing prefabricated building components.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to for the role:

·         Use of hand tools and power tools

·         Cleaning the construction site and factory, including removing debris, unused and or hazardous materials

·         Machinery, manufacturing and plant operation

·         Moving equipment and materials

·         Assembling goods and parts on a production line

·         Following all advised health and safety regulations

·         Making and installing products out of various components such as glass, aluminum, timber, iron and steel

·         Measuring, cutting and building elements for residential, commercial and industrial projects

·         Maintenance of existing structures and fittings

·         Replace damage or work out part of existing structures

·         Assembling and installing structures and frameworks 

Skills and Attributes for the role:

·         Candidates must have at least a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in construction and manufacturing environment

·         Experience in using hand and power tools (preferred but not essential)

·         Good communication skills

·         Willingness to learn new techniques where required

·         Be Physically fit and capable of heavy duties

·         Hold a NZ Driver’s license or International Driver’s license 

What to Expect if You’re Successful:

Your hourly rate will be dependent on your level of experience from $24 - $26/hr depending on your level of experience

You will be offered permanent full-time employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week paid

Training available as appropriate to assist you to improve your skills

You will be required to follow all advised health and safety regulations.
